> Courtesy translation. Only the French version is legally binding: Suppression de compte et des données. In the event of any discrepancy, the French text prevails.

This page explains how to request deletion of your Derja account and the associated data, in accordance with Google Play's requirements and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Delete your account from the app (immediate)

Deletion is available directly in the app, without contacting us:

  1. Open the Derja app and sign in.
  2. Go to My account (profile icon, top right).
  3. Scroll down to “Delete my account”.
  4. Confirm.

Deletion is permanent and immediate: your profile and your sign-in account are erased from our database. This is a deletion, not a mere anonymisation.

What about your Derja+ subscription?

2. Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app (lost device, app uninstalled…), write to:

contact@derja.fr

giving the email address associated with your account and the subject “Account deletion”. We handle the request within 30 days at most (usually within 72 hours). If you have a subscription taken out on the website, we cancel it before deleting your account; an App Store or Google Play subscription must still be cancelled in the store (see section 1).

3. Data deleted

Deletion permanently erases:

This data may remain for up to 3 months in our database backups, which erase themselves beyond that.

Audience measurement data (PostHog) is linked only to a random identifier specific to the device, never to your account: it cannot be found from it. It is erased at the latest 12 months after it was collected. Exception: events sent from the website before 14 October 2026, and those sent by versions of the mobile app released before the October 2026 update, remain linked to your account identifier at PostHog, for 12 months at most. For this data, write to us at contact@derja.fr: we delete in PostHog the data linked to your account.

4. Data that may be retained

Some information relating to payments is kept outside our database:
